Title: Resolution
Author: Aurey09
Character: Lorne
Number: 10/100
Timeline: Spin the bottle/Home

Every story has a resolution (unless it’s post-modernist or cancelled by Fox). I told the beginning on a stage to a audience of me - a spell went awry and my friends lost their memories and I woke up a demon. It would have happened but I sounded the starter’s pistol.

And now it ends because a pretty, dead lady laid out her own yarn. My chance at resolution - the thing I’ve been after.

I knocked back Seabreezes to calm my nerves. It makes it easier to smile as it pulls up.

Besides who doesn’t love a limo ride.

Oh yes, the downward spiral, that ends in death! Excellent.

Yeah, poor Lorne never really recovers from this point in the show and things just get worse for him. Thanks.

Poor Lorne, always looking at the bright side. Or at least trying to convince everyone that he is.

Thanks for the review. I agree, I think Lorne wants people to see him as always being cheerful but I think a part of him is very unhappy.

The whole idea of this came from ‘Spin the Bottle’ Lorne tells the story of the episode and he seems to know how the whole thing ends. So it must be him in the future and ‘Home’ seemed the perfect episode that it could have been in.

Thanks for reviewing, I'm enjoying writing drabbles and it doesn't appear that I'll be stopping any time soon.

I'm not sure if Lorne's on of my strongest characters to write for but I always enjoy writing for him anyway.

"Every story has a resolution (unless it’s post-modernist or cancelled by Fox)."

This is funny too. Lol. *grumbles at Fox*

I was original going to be a script writer for TV but decided to try and write novels instead because they don’t get cancelled. Fox was a fit perfect fit for this drabble because you know that W+H would have had deals with them.

(My next drabble post should have Warren in it. I'm thinking of writing something funny because I've written anguishy drabbles for the last 5 or so posts.)

Well done! You don't get too many Lorne stories, especially serious ones like this.

Thanks. I was feeding off the emotions from his last scene in 'Spin the Bottle' and the later half of season 5, which helped with the serious tone.

man... i asked for a Lorne drabble, and I got one. His life really did spiral out of control from this point. Great work.

I liked how this drabble turned out. Poor Lorne though, things only seemed to get worse for him as the show went on and he ends up all alone in the end.
